Fantastic feedback on music therapy at Ipswich Hospital!

We are delighted and proud to be funding music therapy for children receiving care at Ipswich hospital. Please read the fantastic feedback Music Therapist Daisy Williamson has recently received  Thank you so much to everyone who has made this funding possible for this wonderful therapeutic service 

“Daisy has provided videos of her music therapy sessions specifically for one of our paediatric oncology patients receiving cancer treatment.

This patient has special needs and requires additional support during many nursing interventions. She struggles to understand the reasoning behind the need for these.

Since Daisy has sent us these videos we have played them to this patient to help distract her. She has always responded well to music but these videos have made such a difference to her staying calm for nursing interventions. The use of Daisy’s music therapy has made treatment so much better and less distressing for both the patient and her mum.

She has also used these videos in school when nurses visit her and mum has not been present, which has made this a more positive experience.”
