A huge thank you to Sensei Leonie Kersey and Evolution Karate Academy for everything they have done in memory of Jess during January. It is so lovely that the club wear their pink belts every January, a wonderful tribute to Jess. Leonie and the club have also been fundraising again for Jess Grant Celebration, raising the fantastic total of Β£430 through the club and via Leonie’s Facebook fundraiser. Amazing!
We are delighted that our application to the Tesco Community Grants Scheme has been successful and Jess Grant Celebration has been put forward to a customer vote in Kesgrave, Martlesham and Felixstowe Tesco stores. Voting has now started in store and will continue until 31st March 2022. Please vote for us by collecting a blue token when you shop and putting it in the box for Jess Grant Celebration. Thank you very much for your support x
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Jess Grant Celebration this year. We are very pleased to announce that, with everyone’s help, we will be able to continue to fully fund the Ipswich Hospital Music Therapy Service for the whole of 2022. This extremely valuable therapeutic service has gone from strength to strength this year, with Daisy Williamson now helping 7-9 children every session. We are also delighted to now be funding Zest music therapy days for young adults at St. Elizabeth Hospice.
With special thanks to:-
Our trustees: Caroline Allison, Andy Flatman and Jo Palmer for their time, help and support throughout the year.
Mark Hall at CHP Design for our wonderful website and logo, and his ongoing support in hosting and maintaining the site.
Jess Grant Celebration Patron, Brian May, for his continued support.
Everyone who has provided much needed funds by taking part in challenges and events, and making donations to Jess Grant Celebration this year.
Thank you so much to Amber Grover and the staff at The Entertainer toy shop in Cambridge. Amber heard about Jess Grant Celebration and very kindly nominated us for a ‘Jack Gives Back with Pennies 2021’ grant (https://pennies.org.uk) Thanks to all the ‘pennies’ donated by The Entertainer’s very generous customers, charities are nominated to receive a portion of the funds raised. We have received the fantastic news that Jess’ charity has been awarded Β£1000 π This is amazing and will help us so much going forward with our plans to continue funding music therapy services for children and young people in hospitals and hospices π₯πΉπΈ

We are delighted that Jess Grant Celebration has been able to provide funding for music therapy sessions as part of Zestβs fantastic new Zest Days service. We know firsthand what a difference music therapy can make to young people.
Jess was quite a private person and creating music helped her to express her emotions and process her feelings. It also provided a lot of enjoyment when times were really tough.
She was like a different person after a music therapy session. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of our supporters, we are excited that we are able to provide funding for Zest to allow more young people to benefit from music therapy.

Thank you very much to everyone who took part in 5k May and helped to raise an amazing Β£440 for Jess Grant Celebration
We are so excited to share our news! Throughout the academic year, Kesgrave High School Sixth Form have been organising events and challenges to fundraise for Jess Grant Celebration in memory of Jess. You may remember the non-uniform day in the Autumn term that raised a fantastic Β£500! But, they didn’t stop there! At the end of last year, the Sixth Form Committee set the challenge to run a virtual marathon over a period of 12 weeks, starting with the annual Santa Run. In total, Kesgrave High School have raised a staggering Β£3,574.71 ππ₯³β€π. This is by far the highest total raised by any group of individuals for Jess’ charity. We can’t thank Kesgrave High School enough for all their wonderful fundraising; it means so much to us that Jess’ peers picked her charity to raise money for in her memory.
We’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of the Year 13s the very best in whatever they are going on to do in the future.
