What We Do
Providing funding for music therapy on the children’s ward at Ipswich Hospital.
Funding music therapy days for young adults at Zest, St. Elizabeth Hospice.
We raise funds to support the provision of music therapy for children and young people under the care of Ipswich Hospital and Zest at St. Elizabeth Hospice.
On launching Jess Grant Celebration in December 2018, we aimed to raise enough money to fund a music therapy post. Within a year of fundraising we had successfully helped to initiate a new music therapy service on the children’s ward at Ipswich Hospital, funding a qualified music therapist for one day a week. Now into our fourth year (Jan 2023) of supporting this valuable therapeutic service, the music therapy sessions at Ipswich Hospital are going from strength to strength, with music therapist Daisy Williamson now helping 7-9 children every week, and the service successfully continuing remotely during the pandemic.
From June 2021, we are also delighted to have been funding music therapy days for young adults at Zest, St. Elizabeth Hospice.
Jess Grant Celebration has helped to fund two musical events at The Treehouse, East Anglian Children’s Hospice, and the purchase of a new musical instrument to enhance the music therapy service at Ipswich Hospital.
To date, fundraising has been achieved through donations, annual events organised by the charity and via our supporters taking on challenges and organising events on behalf of Jess Grant Celebration. If you would like to get involved, please contact us to find out more.
Our charity’s trustees and volunteers all donate their time and expertise completely free of charge, ensuring there are no salaries or personal overheads to take care of, and as much as possible of the money raised goes straight to those for whom it was intended.
